The trek to Ghandruk village is a short and most popular trail in Annapurna region. Ghandruk the trail is in Annapurna foothills which offer the the spectacular mountain scenery through from the charming village of Ghandruk, the village is inhabited by the Gurungs, Magars. The trek passes rhododendron forests with full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys. The trek allow you to see the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and other peaks. The trek begins appearing mountain like magic.

TREKKING ROUTE ITINERARY

Day 01 : Drive from Pokhara (915 m.) to Phedi (1130 m.) then trek from Phedi to Dhampus village. Dhampus is a Gurung village which gives you an opportunity to look at the magnificent views of Annapurna ranges, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. From Dhampus our trail ascends towards Pothana through forests until we reach Pothana. Pothana is a small village which is surrounded by forests having marvelous mountain views. The trek from Phedi to Pothana takes five hours. Overnight at lodge/tea house.

Day 02 : Trek from Pothana to Ghandruk (1950 m.) which takes almost six hours.The beginning part of trek is gradual ascend for an hour up and get Deurali (2100m.) which passes through oak and mixed forests including splendid views of Manaslu, Annapurna ranges and Mardi Himal. Leaving Deurali, we start to trek steep downwards until we reach Tolkha (1840 m.). Tolkha is a beautiful Magar and Gurung village. From Tolkha we continue our trek and we reach the next destination GHandruk, a village inhabited by mostly Gurung and few Brahmins. Our trail is gradual descent from Landruk passing through terraces and few settlements thenwe steep descent and reach Modi Khola Khola (river) and cross iron bridge then after we steep uphill and finally we reach Ghandruk. There are many lodges,Gurung museum and traditional houses made of stone slabs. You can enjoy from here are Annapurna South (7229 m.), Hiunchuli (6441 m.), Annapurna III (7755m.), Glacier dome (7200 m.) and Fish tail (6997 m.). Overnight at lodge/teahouse.

Day 03 : Today, we our trail descend from Ghandruk to Nayapul via Birethanti takes about 5 hours. Our trail descend through Kimshe to Shaule Bazaar. From Nayapul we drive back to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.
