The Everest View Trek most prefers those people have short time and interest on the watching the Mount Everest and enjoying the trekking experience. You will also get an opportunity to observe the world famous Sherpa people their culture and custom. Beside that you may explore in Buddhist monasteries and watch alpine flora and fauna of Everest Region.
The Everest view treks start from Lukla after a 30 minutes spectacular mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.
Lukla is the main airport for Everest region. From Lukla our trail starts to descends through Sherpa villages along the spectacular gorge of Dudh Koshi River and get to the village of Phakding. From Phakding our trail goes continuously to Namche Bazaar through pine and rhododendron forests with an abundance of wildlife.
Namche Bazaar is one of the most import village in Everest Region which is located at 3440m. Almost people trekking in the Khumbu region will visit Namche Bazaar, as it is the gateway to the high Himalayas. You will stay extra day in Namche, giving a chance to rest, acclimatize, and explore the place further, which helps us get use to the altitude and give us time for a bit of recovery.
If we walk up to the Sagarmatha National Park Headquarters from Namche Bazaar in the early morning then you will have impressive views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam (6,856m/22,493’) and other magnificent peaks.
From Namche Bazaar, we start our trek towards Khumjung. Khumjung is next largest village in Khumbu, at the foot of the sacred peak Khumbila. From Khumjung we can see clear views of Mt Everest and the Khumjung valley with surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kondge, Thamserku and the sacred peak Khumbila.
Our trail ascents to Tengboche, the culturally significant Buddhist monastery (Tenboche Monastery) is located at Tengboche with the amazing backdrop of Mount Amadablam. The Monastery is the biggest monastery in Everest region and travelers and trekkers seek to visit the Monastery. A large number of Buddhist pilgrims visit at the Monastery to celebrate the Mani Rimdu festival every year which is the most major annual festivals of Sherpa people and Buddhist pilgrims.
You will have outstanding view of Mt. Everest including other beautiful mountains from Tengboche.
From Tengboche we start to trek back descending to the Lukla airport via Khumjung, Namche bazaar and Monjo then we fly back to Kathamndu from Lukla.
TREKKING ITINERARY
DAY 01: FLY FROM KATHMANDU TO LUKLA (2800M) – 30 MINUTES. TREK FROM LUKLA TO PHAKDING (2640 M.) – 3 HOURS:
Morning transfer to the domestic airport then fly from Kathamndu to Lukla. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After getting Lukla airport we take our gear and start our trek through lush forests and across a hanging bridge to Phakding. Overnight at the lodge.
DAY 02: TREK FROM PHAKDING TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440 M.) – 4.30 HOURS:.
Our trek begin early in the morning and we enter into Sagarmatha National Park enjoying the first close-up views mountain after that we get Namche Bazaar. This is the main village in the Everest region, you will get a chance to see much sights here. Overnight at lodge.
DAY 03: REST REST AT NAMCHE BAZAAR FOR ACCLIMATIZATION AND EXCURSION AROUND THE PLACES:
Today is a day to acclimatize, so we stay a full day in Namche Bazaar. During your stay you will hike up to the Everest View hotel for your first views of Mount Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse. Overnight at lodge.
DAY 04: TREK FROM NAMCHE BAZAAR TO TYANGBOCHE (3867M.) – SIX HOURS.
From Namche Bazaar, we start our trek towards Khumjung. Khumjung is next largest village in Khumbu, at the foot of the sacred peak Khumbila. From Khumjung we can see clear views of Mt Everest and the Khumjung valley with surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kondge, Thamserku and the sacred peak Khumbila.
Our trek continue ascents to Tengboche, the culturally significant Buddhist monastery (Tenboche Monastery) is located at Tengboche with the amazing backdrop of Mount Amadablam. You will have outstanding view of Mt. Everest including other beautiful mountains from Tyangboche. Overnight at lodge.
DAY 05: TREK FROM TYANGBOCHE TO MONJO (2835M.) – 5 HOURS:
From today, our trail descends from Tyangboche via Khumjung to Monjo crossing few Sherpa settlements and you will meet friendly Sherpa people. Trekking this day is little bit easier in comparison to other days. Monjo is a small village and the area is mainly for agriculture. You can see people being engaged in agricultural activities. Overnight at lodge.
DAY 06: TREK FROM MONJO TO LUKLA (2800M.) 5 HOURS:
This day the trail gradually descends and ascends as well. You cross the Dudh Koshi river over suspension bridges. Overnight at lodge
DAY 07: FLY FROM LUKLA TO KATHMANDU – 30 MINUTES:
You will fly from Lukla to Kathmandu early in the morning and we will pick up from the airport.
